This has been a long road but I finally got Vista loaded on a new hard drive. After many attempt and 3 downloads of Vista, on the 3rd attempt checked the MD5 and it was good, using Nero burned the image with DVD ISO/UDF option. Vista copied all files without the 80070241 error. Hope this helps, I cant believe its running.

Vista Finally Works
